The City of Delray Beach has proposed an Innovation corridor on Congress avenue In Delray beach.
The Congress Corridor Business District is ideal for Corporate Headquarters, facilities that support international, national or regional operations for mature companies with distributed operations and centralized strategic management activities. Desirable Industry Clusters are:
The Congress Corridor Business District runs along Interstate Highway 95, and it is anchored by two Interchanges from the Interstate and the Tri-Rail/Amtrak Commuter train station at the district’s center.
As a result, this 4-mile long district has direct transportation connection with the Scripts and Max Planck Institutes to the north of our county, with international airports, seaports, and the core of the three major South Florida cities: Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach. The Congress Corridor Business District is adjacent to the successful scientific, technology and professional industry clusters off Yamato Road in neighboring Boca Raton.
Only five miles away from the Florida Atlantic University Campus and from Boca Raton Executive Airport, the Congress Corridor Business District is also adjacent to Downtown Delray Beach, its restaurants, retail, entertainment and events. A City funded shuttle bus, the Downtown Roundabout, offers free transportation from Congress Avenue to the Downtown Business Core.
Many large parcels are available for redevelopment, and the 85 feet allowable building height allows for increased density, mixed-use, and prominent visibility from Interstate I-95
